According to the confession of the livestock owner, Chairul, from the footprints found at the scene of the incident, there were two tigers, because some time ago they were larger, while this time they tend to be smaller.


"Yes, sir, yesterday it was around noon, so I planned to take my cows to herd until I reached the field, I saw that my livestock had died horribly," he said when confirmed by this media, Thursday (6/10/2022).


The condition of the bull was still left lying on the site with a wound on the back due to a bite (Panthera Tigris Sumatrae).


"This incident is approximately 50 meters from the residents' residences," said Chairul.


He continued, the community was very worried about the existence of the Sumatran tiger in the residential area of ​​the surrounding population.


"We are very worried about the safety of the residents here, because it is possible that the tiger will return to prey on its target again, I hope the relevant parties will take it seriously," he concluded.


Previously, after it was reported that a Sumatran tiger preyed on two cows, BKSDA through CRU had distributed several firecrackers to local residents for early treatment. However, this is considered ineffective to repel tigers, comprehensive action is needed.[]
